"Louise played the harp for our wedding ceremony and drinks reception. Her music is beautiful and she has an amazing list of options for you to choose from, my husband was particularly impressed that we could have Daft Punk as part of our wedding! Thank you Louise, you helped make our special day extra special." Joanne Hart

My name is Louise Spencer. I'm a professional, contemporary harpist living, working and from Nottinghamshire. Music is my absolute passion...I feel and enjoy every note and I love to move people with my playing.

I specialise in playing the harp and/or piano at weddings and events, and my full focus is to look after each and every booking in a completely personal and professional way.

My harp is magnificent! It was made in Italy by the renowned harp makers - Salvi. It is mahogany wood and looks and sounds absolutely beautiful; with a specialist pickup system to amplify the sound in a natural way - an absolute necessity for weddings and events.

I also love to play the piano, my first study instrument, which I began at the age of 5. Taught initially by my mother (who was also a professional musician) I went on to study music to Master's degree level, taking me to London for several years where I worked as a composer and musician.

Returning to Nottinghamshire to raise my family, I now work with the best venues in the county and surrounding areas and I am a recommended supplier for the following venues:

FAQ

Do you learn special requests?
* Yes. I have plenty of pieces to choose from on my repertoire list, but if there's piece you would particularly like me to learn that has special meaning, please just ask and I will be happy to learn it for you.

Do you play outside?
* Yes, as long it is dry weather. I require a hard, flat surface, full shade and access to power.

Do you require refreshments?
Yes please! Usually just a soft drink if playing only for a short period, but a service meal is very much appreciated if playing for a long time, please speak to your venue about this.

How far do you travel?
I like to stay reasonably within my area to avoid long travelling times, usually within a 1 hour radius which includes Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Loughborough & Rutland.

Do you provide your own piano?
Yes, I have a white, digital piano that is suitable for weddings which is included in the price if the venue doesn't have it's own piano.

Do you have PL insurance and PAT tested equipment?
Yes, this is compulsory for many of the venues I play at because of health and safety regulations.

Do you have any videos or recordings of you playing?
Yes, check out my socials, there's lots of videos and recordings to listen to on there. Or better still, follow me on social media to see if I'm playing at any upcoming open day events to hear me play in person!

How do I book?
You will need to complete a booking form and pay a deposit to secure your date. I send all the details via email.

What is you Privacy Policy?
