Porth Island is inspired by a coastal site in Cornwall where the sea’s horizon is scattered with memory locks & plaques left in remembrance. Opposite a beach in Newquay, the island hosts native wildlife and in particular birds, which can be heard in the track. Fluid harmonic colours and whole-tone inflections capture the play of light on water, sweeping with gentle waves of glissandi and subtle, emerging melodies.
Piano Peace is a collection of eight gentle piano compositions
which drift from stillness to melodic emotion and back again.
Solo piano piece 'The Shape of Goodbye’ ponders on more
recent inspiration, blending chorale-style fragments and
hints of reflective jazz.
